If you are tired of the critical voice inside your head, or feel like anxiety and stress are stopping you from reaching your potential, i’m here to support you.

Maybe you are fiercely independent because life demanded it, or you’re burnt out from trying to hold it all together. I’m here to help you rewrite your story. If you’re estranged from family, or weighed down by old stories that say you’re not enough, we can create space for a new narrative, one you define and that feels right for you.

I’m especially passionate about supporting women who feel stuck in cycles of self-doubt, self-sabotage, or people-pleasing. Together, we explore the roots of those patterns and build something more empowering in their place.

My background isn’t traditional, and I see that as a strength. The path that brought me here has given me deep empathy, real-life tools, and an ability to connect without pretense. If you’re looking for therapy that’s grounded, honest, and human, you’re in the right place.

About me.

Hello, I’m Lori and I am so glad that you might be considering therapy.

My journey into therapy began after facing some difficult times of my own. It was through the support of a compassionate therapist that I was able to start healing and reconnecting with who I really am.

I knew then I wanted to offer that same space to others and I’ve loved every step of the journey into becoming a therapist.

Before this career, I spent 20 years as a hairdresser, something that taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life. I’ve also had the privilege of traveling widely, which has opened my heart and mind to the richness of different cultures and ways of being. These experiences have all shaped my warm, down-to-earth, and open-minded approach to therapy.

Having experienced the impact of complicated family dynamics, i’m especially passionate about supporting others in their relationships. I work with couples and family members who want to deepen their connection and better understand each other. My approach compassionate, no nonsense and focused on creating a space where both partners feel heard.

I also draw on mindfulness in my work, particularly for anxiety. Mindfulness offers grounding, practical tools that help clients feel calmer, more present, and better able to navigate life’s ups and downs.

Therapy helped me move from a place of anxiety and heaviness to feeling more free, light, and grounded, and I’d love to help you find that same sense of ease and clarity.

I work from a beautiful, calm space on the east side of Edinburgh that offers free parking. I also see clients online and for telephone counselling.
